Claiming that 90% tickets of the general stands are already sold out, officials of the Rajasthan Royals said the IPL-4 will have a flying start when the team takes on Delhi Daredevils at its home ground at Sawai Man Singh (SMS) Stadium here on Tuesday.
"There are only 10% general stand tickets left. The general stands in East, North and South blocks is expected to be completely sold out by Monday," a Rajasthan Royals official said.
Tickets for East, North and South stands are priced at Rs 300, Rs 400 Rs 800 respectively. "However, 50 per cent of tickets for north and south lawns costing more than Rs 1,000 are yet to be sold," the official said.
Meanwhile, travel agents in the city are not happy with the number cricket enthusiasts coming here to watch the matches scheduled here in this season.
"I don't know why we are not getting business from domestic tourists during this IPL season. It is not very encouraging for our business. During IPL I, there was a huge inflow of domestic tourists but in this season, we are not getting what we have expected," Sanjay Kaushik, a travel agent said.
